Rodolfo de Matteis was born in Italy in 1957.
Since boyhood, his life has been characterized by extraordinary experiences and sometimes very painful ones; however, these experiences motivated him to follow and persevere in a spiritual path and calling with an unbending intent.
Rodolfo began the meditation practice and started writing poetry at the age of 13. Well known as a student a revolutionary leader in the '70s.
In early adulthood he left his anthropological studies at the University of Rome La Sapienza to dedicate himself to “autology” (self-knowledge).
So he moved to India where he spent 13 years, mostly as a baba on the sadhu path making pilgrimages and staying in holy places of power in the Himalayas, Rajasthan desert and Goa.
Lived a long time in the village where the Dalai Lama is exiled.
In Goa was for two years the in-charge baba of the holy Banyan Tree, one of the oldest in the world.
He has been active part in the birth of naturists’ communities of Arambol and the first Goa Parties.
He has been jailed for 15 months in Goa in 1990, risking a sentence of 20 years as a victim of the War on Drugs: in his acquittal the Supreme Court of India mentions for the first time the concept of personal consumption.
He worked as a teacher of Tantric Yoga at the Italian Università della Preghiera (the University of Prayer). He also taught it privately in the cities of L’Aquila, Alghero and Pescara.
In Italy in the ‘90s created one of the first web sites "www.2mila8.com" (precursor of blogs, myspace and on-line music); participating to the Luther Blisset Project, for which he will be sued and sentenced in the infamous " '98 Italian Internet Crackdown ".
He studied seven years with the direct apprentices of Carlos Castaneda and gave Tensegrity® classes in Mexico and Italy.
Rodolfo has been living mostly in Mexico since 1998 to 2024. He was importing and selling in Italy products of Mayan art and craftsmanship bought directly from indigenous families in Guatemala and Chiapas from 2001 to 2010.
In 2010 became a certified healer with the Breathwork teacher David Elliott.
In 2015 was entitled firstly Reverend, funnily said raverend, and then in '16 Maestro. This qualifications, issued under the authority of the state of Florida, legally enables him to perform the sacerdotal functions.
He has been given by a Marakame (shaman chief) Wirrarika (Mexican Natives, called also the Huicholes and Guardians of Peyote) the spiritual name of:
"Wirikuta Mieme Wamuwieri Mu Eke"
in English:
"The Wind of the holy desert of Wirikuta raising the Feathers of the Muwieri"
(the Muwieri is that stick with attached feathers the shamans Wixaritari use to give healings and blessings).
With the center of studies MultiReal guides since many years spiritual retreats and ceremonies in the holy desert of Wirikuta, the so called "Heart of Mexico", where the entheogen teacher plant Peyote cactus grows.
In 2016 has been initiated in Gabón to the Bwiti tradition, based on the Holy Wood of Africa: the Tabernanthe Iboga, where he got the spiritual name of "Akón Nvoua", in English : "Pillar of Peace"
He is offering initiatory ceremonies of encounter with the Iboga in Mexico and Spain.
He gives Kambo treatments, too, following the traditional Amazonian approach, taught to him in 2018 in the Peruvian jungle by don Lucho Jimenez, Medicine Man of the Matsés tribe, that encounter civilization only in 1969.
He has taught workshops on topics such as Creative Development, Yoga and Meditation, "S.I. Stand It movements of power", and talks on various subjects.
He also leads Healing Circles in Italy, Mexico, Guatemala and online.
Rodolfo offers Aura Healings both in person and online.

He is writer and poet, published in Italy the collection of tales VISIONOIR, and that of poems OVERDOSE d'ARANCIATA, and in Mexico the book NACÍ EN TENOCHTITLAN, OTRA VEZ.
His Visionary Space Opera BLACK RAINBOW is appearing at the bookstores by March 2026.
His truth-novel ASSURBAN, where he relates about his judiciary misadventure in India has still to be published. His novel LA SPADA NEL DESERTO, too, is still waiting for a publisher.
He has published various texts more as tales and poetry in international literary magazines and newspapers.
In November 2010 organized in Mexico City the "Festival de Poesía y Actos Poéticos: Los Muertos Pueden Poetar"; and started his radio program Transmundo Express Café, on the waves of Radio Zapote in Mexico and Radio IndyGesta in Italy.
He is the founder of the "RODOCALCO no-webzine di giornalismo gonzo" now as a facebook page soon with its own webpage, too
He is an internationally known performer, also by the art names of "Bardo Rodol" and "rodelfo", and has an intense activity of Live Action Art, videomaking, poetry readings and so.
Gives the workshop "ZERO VAMPYRES: performance Art of Action and Liberation" at the Centro de las Artes Centenario in San Luis Potosí Mexico.
